Debby is a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Therapist who received her Masters in Science in Education majoring in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Nebraska-Kearney in August 2023.  Debby completed her internship requirements under the supervision of Kris Steinbeck MS, LIMHP, NCC and will continue with her provisional supervision under Kris as well.

Debby comes to Child and Family Therapy Institute of Nebraska with a 26-year nursing background, where she has worked as both a school nurse and clinic nurse.  In her nursing role, she actively coordinated many things in and out of work that focused on the community and during this time, she realized that to be more effective in working with people, she would be a better fit as a mental health counselor.

Debby will be working out of the satellite clinic located in Stuart, NE.  Debby will be serving much of the north central area of Nebraska and will also be able to see clients via telehealth.  Debby is passionate about working with others and focuses on using person-centered therapy along with CBT.  Debby works well with people of all ages.

Debby is a proud member of the American Counseling Association, Nebraska Counseling Association, and Chi Sigma Iota.
